Why It Started

Josh Denton didn’t set out to reinvent HR. He set out to make it relevant.

With over a decade of executive-level HR experience and a background in business consulting, Josh saw a clear pattern: entrepreneurs were building businesses without a strategic HR partner in their corner. HR had been reduced to compliance checklists and administrative overhead — and founders were paying the price in lost growth, misaligned teams, and missed opportunity.

In 2025, Josh founded Denton HR Company in Duluth, Minnesota, to change that. Drawing from a wide network of business thinkers and his own frontline experience, he built a fractional HR practice designed specifically for entrepreneurs — one that speaks the language of growth, not corporate procedure.

Today, Denton HR Company serves entrepreneurs across Minnesota and Wisconsin as a trusted partner in building resilient, scalable businesses. No jargon. No bureaucracy. Just practical, strategic HR that moves at the speed of entrepreneurship.
